I honestly cannot resist beach & swimwear, despite the fact that I haven’t dipped a toe in salt water since 2014, I have a soft sport for itty bitty bikinis, flare sleeved mini dresses, good ol’ cut offs & the ocean. The ocean has such an intense vibe & energy, it’s exhilerating.
I’m always on the hunt for pieces that are unique, not only in fabrics but also cut & style. When I came across The Naked Tiger, it was instant love! The Bardot dress is perfect for a pool party or even a cute cover up to wear to the beach.
Made using handmade batik cotton fabric, each piece is unique. Also, features a shirred elastic throughout the dress & a lace tie up at the front. This mini hugs every beautiful curve & literally feels like second skin.
Living across the ocean can make it super hard to get my hands on delicious Indian labels, that I swoon over on Instagram. A few labels are nice enough to make an exception, however, shipping charges can cost you your kidney & first born child!
Below are a few of my favourite websites, that are so easy to shop & shipping prices are reasonable!
Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop
House Of Masaba
The Quirk Box

Saree: Surendri By Yogesh Choudhary
A few weeks ago a friend/photographer/beautiful soul suggested we do a photoshoot at Carriageworks where they have commissioned a large-scale work by renowned German artist Katharina Grosse. Using over 8,000 square metres of fabric. Grosse draped, knotted, then created a multilayered painting on the surfaces and folds of the fabric, resulting in a out-of-your-mind experience.
After shooting at Carriageworks, my appreciation & curiosity for art has been perpetual. Art has a way of expressing your thoughts onto a blank canvas, just like Fashion, your body is a blank canvas waiting to be covered in beautiful work.
A big part of this expression is colour. Colour stirs up a lot of emotions, sensations, memories and is something we register in our mind & attach to a memory. The decision to wear black was not only to stand out against but to be a juxtaposition against the mixture of colours.

Living in a diverse country is a blessing & I have whole heartedly embraced the culture & movement. It’s 2018 & there is a change in the air. The way we think & feel about love is changing. This year only we saw the forefront of this new tradition of boy or girl
meets loves whoever the fuck they want!
Knowing that love has no boundaries fills my little heart with nothing but love & hope. Hope that this incredible step forward will transcend over oceans until we completely overwrite the text book belief that only a man & women can be together. Also, that one day we can put aside race, creed, culture, religion, socio economic backgrounds, status, class, bank balance & taste in music aside to believe that we are one and what binds us all together is love.
Alas, the word does not spin this way & we are still succumbed to traditionalists who believe in marrying “your own kind”. I get it. Back then the cookie crumbled a whole different way but seeing a further change will only be pushed forward by changing your mentality!
Its break my heart my when two individuals are forced to walk away from their relationship due to small differences & senseless beliefs. I know life isn’t a Bollywood movie where love triumphs over everything & after three emotional breakdowns, six family arguments, foursong sequences & a train ride everything will magically fall into place despite cultural and life differences.
But it makes me wonder, is being with the person who makes you happy not enough?

The year of new beginnings, old habits & the end of old flames.
Every new year brings out a fresh, crisp new list of resolutions or goals. Be it, financial, career orientated or self – care, taking time out to outline & manage your goals for the year is a great way to map out how you would like your year to flow.
Write down a list of goals to accomplish every day which in turn will lead to the larger goal. It could be as simple as going to the gym or reading a chapter before bed.
Breaking down your goals into smaller actions plans, makes them more attainable & provides clarity.
One of my goals of this year is to read more, being an avid reader in the past, I found myself getting lost in the deep, dark vortex of useless Youtube videos. Instead of dwelling into Youtube, I read a chapter or two before bed, which also helps me fall asleep quicker.

1. A system or method to track the passage of time
2. Not to waste
I think it’s safe to say it’s taken me a plethora of time to
a) write a blog post for this outfit
b) find a compelling topic to talk about
While researching for a topic, I realised I was spending more time scrolling through Instagram – all the in the name of research – instead of reading other styles of work & topics. After spending three hours staring at a blank draft, watching four Buzzfeed videos about puppies & sending two texts messages on how busy I am, I realised I wasn’t going to be able to meet my self given deadline.
Time can be a foe or friend.
Either plays with or against you.
But it’s your choice on how you will let time fuck with you. You either use it wisely & go chasing Z’s feeling accomplished or let it eat away at you while you watch time be good to those who know its value.
The key is not to waste time on things/people/doings who will add no value to your life. When you don’t add value to your life, time will not be of your value.
Focus on what sets your soul on fire & time will follow.

1. Pleasing; agreeable ; delightful
2. Not that fucking hard to be
Everyday we’re exposed to hate & negativity, impacting our daily lives & most importantly how we treat others. In spite of all this negativity , we have no idea what others are dealing with in their personal lives, so it’s plain and simple:
It costs $0.00 to me a nice person & I assure you, you will not regret being a nice person. Some might say being nice is a sign of weakness & to an extent that is true – there is a such thing as being too nice. However, a little act of kindness can go a long way. People will forget what you said, what you did, but will never forget how you made them feel. A small act of kindness can turn anybody’s storm into a rainbow.
Here are a few things you can do to practice kindness:
1. Be kinder to yourself: When you practice self love, your kindness will flood the world surrounding you.
2. Focus: Train your mind to see the good in everything & everyone. Happiness is a choice. YOUR choice.
3. Be quiet: If you have nothing nice to say, don’t speak.
4. Don’t expect a return gift: If you expect something in return for being nice person, then you aren’t a nice person.
Just remember, you are never too important to be a nice person.

My dear enchiladas this is the last outfit for the thigh high series on the blog. With Spring blossoming in T minus 2 days, I’m sure I’ll have to give these bad boys a rest soon enough & what perfect way to pair them with some good ol’ denims!
On my previous posts, I found myself talking about how I was breaking society norms one boot at a time & I will continue to stand up against trivial issues blown out of proportion by judgmental assholes who I hope are allergic to puppies!
I hope these last few outfits have inspired you to rock your thigh high boots with confidence, kewl & most importantly with conviction

In the amidst of new jobs, old flames, bigger goals & many useless boys, I sometimes find myself questioning my recent blog shoot. If you’ve been following my Instagram or blog, you may have seen my experimental side awaken.
It’s not that I care if people can see a bit of nipple through my kurta but it’s the fact that people judge my character based on the clothes I wear. I like wearing shorts, crop tops, thigh high boots & dresses which show a decent amount of side boob, but that does not mean I’m ‘easy’, ‘cheap’ or a ‘slut’.
People are not what they seem based on the clothes they wear, there’s much more to someone than meets the eye. A women’s body is not a way to determine her character, but a way of expressing herself & her many forms.
But I have to ask, will this change?
