Living in a diverse country is a blessing & I have whole heartedly embraced the culture & movement. It’s 2018 & there is a change in the air. The way we think & feel about love is changing. This year only we saw the forefront of this new tradition of boy or girl
meets loves whoever the fuck they want!
Knowing that love has no boundaries fills my little heart with nothing but love & hope. Hope that this incredible step forward will transcend over oceans until we completely overwrite the text book belief that only a man & women can be together. Also, that one day we can put aside race, creed, culture, religion, socio economic backgrounds, status, class, bank balance & taste in music aside to believe that we are one and what binds us all together is love.
Alas, the word does not spin this way & we are still succumbed to traditionalists who believe in marrying “your own kind”. I get it. Back then the cookie crumbled a whole different way but seeing a further change will only be pushed forward by changing your mentality!
Its break my heart my when two individuals are forced to walk away from their relationship due to small differences & senseless beliefs. I know life isn’t a Bollywood movie where love triumphs over everything & after three emotional breakdowns, six family arguments, foursong sequences & a train ride everything will magically fall into place despite cultural and life differences.
But it makes me wonder, is being with the person who makes you happy not enough?

The year of new beginnings, old habits & the end of old flames.
Every new year brings out a fresh, crisp new list of resolutions or goals. Be it, financial, career orientated or self – care, taking time out to outline & manage your goals for the year is a great way to map out how you would like your year to flow.
Write down a list of goals to accomplish every day which in turn will lead to the larger goal. It could be as simple as going to the gym or reading a chapter before bed.
Breaking down your goals into smaller actions plans, makes them more attainable & provides clarity.
One of my goals of this year is to read more, being an avid reader in the past, I found myself getting lost in the deep, dark vortex of useless Youtube videos. Instead of dwelling into Youtube, I read a chapter or two before bed, which also helps me fall asleep quicker.

1. Warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful
2. Practised daily
It’s time to put some gratitude in your attitude. Spreading a little bit of kindness & love come from within & the first step to radiating positivity into the atmosphere is to be grateful.
Here are a few ways to practise gratitude:
- Every morning write down five things your are grateful for & read the list before bed
- Appreciate the small things – the delicious dinner you ate last night or even the relationships you share with family & friends
- Say ‘Thank you’ more often
- Recognise that there is nothing too small for you to be grateful for
- Do something that makes you happy

1. a short piece of wire bent so as to bind together papers
2. a white t shirt
Cotton, polyester or modal, a white tee is the bread & butter of my wardrobe. With the rise of fast fashion, trends are changing before you can say “is the bum bag making a come back?” ( It is )
However, you’ll find the classic white tee a constant in our wardrobes. The best part is trying to find pairings to re-invent the white tee but what’s even better is being able to mix Indian wear with wardrobe staples.
So baby get those lehengas & sneakers out.
It’s time to change it up.

I am in a forever love affair with dresses & shorts. The crux of the matter is that the weather is changing & most sensible folks will swap out those cheeky bum shorts with jeans, over-sized hoodies & better decisions.
I, not being so much on the sensible side, discovered a simple formula to transition summer stapes to winter wear, without having to answer:
But Baby isn’t it too cold?

If you look closely on my last two posts you must have noticed, I am not wearing a bra. No problem right?
I’ve been genetically blessed with small boobs & from a young age it has been ingrained to religiously wear a bra. A quick trip to buy milk requires my wallet, keys, will power not buy ice cream & support.
However, going sans bra has been liberating. I feel comfortable, confident, sexy & say a “hell to the yeah” to some cheeky side boob. Be it a ten minute drive to pick up pizza or a dinner I’m embracing bra-free fashion.
We are definitely more than being shamed or sexualised for our bodies.

She’s lying in bed. She doesn’t believe in alarms but wakes up to the pressing need for tea. She looks over to the space next to her and sees last nights regrets – High Fidelity – waiting to be finished. Her straight hair twirls up into a bun and the kettle is set to boil. She think about her choices for the day in the shower and ponders if she needs to shave her legs. The tea is ready in last nights mug and her wardrobe full of dresses with tags on. She wears navy blue with black and steps out…
